Cyber Attack 2021

WE’VE BEEN ATTACKED.

OUR ENTIRE INTERNET NETWORK HAS BEEN HACKED.

WE ARE VULNERABLE TO SEVERE CYBER-ASSAULT.

I’ve been predicting this on and off for the past couple of years.

Now it has happened.

Mercury and Pluto are in opposition in the U.S. horoscope.  Mercury represents business, communications, and education.  Pluto stands for espionage, the internet, and the total breakdown and restructuring of things.  It doesn’t take much of an imagination to realize the revitalizing and transformative influence that the computer and the internet have on our lives.  But there is an insidious force at work here too.  The opposition aspect is a sign of conflict.

Nations spy on one another.  They steal secrets and keep an eye out for what their adversaries are up to.  The internet makes this much easier than the old cloak and dagger days.  The cloak is still around in the guise of remote hackers, and so is the dagger.  Case in point:  Israel denies an April 2021 cyber-attack that shut-off power to Iran’s centrifuge facility.  Israel also denies the 2012 “Stuxnet” attack that seriously damaged centrifuges in Iran’s nuclear development program setting them back four years.  Iran counter-attacked on August 15, 2012 by hitting Saudi Aramco, the world’s richest oil company, in hopes of stopping the flow of oil and gas to local and international markets.  It was not completely successful but extensive damage was done.  China and North Korea have also launch cyberattacks for retribution on individuals and corporations.  China has been stealing our research and development secrets for years but has the capability of doing serious damage to us financially.  Let’s not forget Iran.  Iran has the fourth largest cyber-force in the world and is not hesitant to use it.  They attacked our banks for four consecutive months during the Obama years causing millions of dollars in losses and remediation costs to four dozen major banks.  They tried and failed to open the floodgates of the Arthur R. Bowman Dam in Oregon that would have been catastrophic to 10,000 residents.  And these are only a few of the cyber-breaches that have taken place.  Cyberwarfare is the new Cold War.

Transiting Pluto is returning to its 1776 position in 2022.  Remember the opposition to Mercury?  Transiting Pluto was in opposition with natal Mercury 2/27/2020, 6/26/2020, and 1/1/2021.  This is when the news broke that we had been hacked by Russia.  It was the deepest known penetration of U.S. systems by malware hidden in the widely used Solar Winds update.  The update was installed in nuclear laboratories, the Pentagon, the Treasury Department, and other government agencies.  Microscoft identified 40 targets, including think tanks, and sellers of security software that had unrestricted access to their networks.  Unlike corporate and city hacks out to get money, this breech planted backdoor openings into vast computer networks.  It’s not like the Equifax and Sony Pictures incidents, the hackers did not target a single network but a network monitoring system, Orion, used by as many as 18,000 of Solar Wind’s clients.  Orion’s malware-infected updates give the hackers access to everything on these networks.  It will take years to find and close the “zero-day” backdoors.  In the meantime, what, besides espionage, could the hackers do?

Russian paid hackers first got into NSA computers and stole our cyber-security and cyber-warfare secrets.  They used these top secret weapons in the U.S. cyber-arsenal to interfere in Ukraine’s 2014 elections.  Then they turned Ukrainian power and emergency phone service off for about 6 hours.  Ramping up the attack, as if testing the capabilities each time, they launched the most destructive and costly cyberattack in world history on June 27, 2017.

That day, Ukrainians experienced a nightmare.  Computers wouldn’t work, ATMs down, no credit card payments or electronic transfers of any kind would go through.  The attack hit any company that did business in Ukraine; so Pfizer and Merck, and FedEx – plus scores more companies lost an estimated $10 billion.

The Russians can turn our lights out too.  They can shut-down our grid, banks, and wreak havoc in government and regulatory agencies.  An all-out attack with their fingerprints all over it would obviously invite a devastating response from the U.S. so they might just nip at our heels, steal our data, and continue to sow disinformation into our institutions slowly eroding American trust in democracy and the rule of law.  They hold a trump card so long as they have “zero-days” on us.

The Russian national horoscope set for 12/25/1991 contains two tight conjunctions involving Venus and Pluto and Uranus and Neptune.   Venus/Pluto can be interpreted as a love of absolute power; peaceful overtures that are a ruse; successful use of the Internet.  The Uranus/Neptune conjunction interprets along a similar vein: hidden agenda, sudden surprise attack, chaos and disinformation.  Enclosed in this conjunction is another interesting insight about Russia.  Uranus is associated with freedom and rebellion – democracy in a word – and Neptune is the false idyllic allure of socialism.  One of Russia’s prime life motives is to corrupt institutions of freedom.  They are doing this exceedingly well with the help of the internet (Venus/Pluto in their horoscope).

In checking the transits to the Russian horoscope at the time of the Ukraine attacks a pattern emerges.  The December 2015 attack was closely followed in the Russian horoscope with transiting Pluto going over natal Neptune (1/28/2016).  A transiting Mars square natal Neptune peaked right before the attack on 12/10 and transiting Uranus went stationary direct on 12/26.

The financially destructive June 27, 2017 cyberattack also involved Uranus and Neptune in Russia’s horoscope: Jupiter square Uranus (6/17), Mars opposite Uranus (6/25), Mars opposite Neptune (6/29), and Jupiter square Neptune (7/24).  When might the Russians attack next?

The three-phase Saturn/Uranus square during 2021 is a sign of war and security disruptions.  The prospects of a major conflict during 2021 are therefore very great.  Take into consideration the muscle flexing China has been doing regarding Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, India, and the genocide within its border to the Uighurs.  Our financial and political squabbles with them add to this powder keg.    Israel attacked Iran again in early April 2021 with an explosion (whether bomb or cyber created is unknown) that disrupted the power systems and damaged uranium enriching centrifuges in the important Natanz facility.  Iran has yet to retaliate.  And that takes us to the massive Russian military buildup along Ukraine’s border.  Could Russia be ready to invade and take over Ukraine’s Black Sea coast?

This certainly is a possibility since significant signs of provocation exist: transiting Jupiter recently was square Russia’s natal Pluto and Venus at the end of March 2021, and Mars opposed Mars (4/5/21)  during the military buildup along the border.   It is possible that Russia is testing the resolve of Europe and President Biden.  If Putin is serious about attacking now, a feint cyber-attack on America would be perfect cover for a swift invasion of eastern Ukraine.  Transiting Mars is opposite Uranus and Neptune in mid-May so a cyber-assault is favored around May 15.  More ominous astrological indicators, however, point to February, March, and early April 2022.

More cyber-attacks will come, a nip here, a bite there, and then the ultimate terror – no power.
