News Before the News – July 2026

Iran breaks the cease fire agreement on the 7th by firing on a tanker moving through the Strait of Hormuz sparking renewed fighting. How long this round of exchanges lasts is anyone’s guess, but astrology gives clues as to the U.S. intensions based on President Trump chart. Mars goes over Trump’s Uranus on the 24th of July. This weekly is disruptive, unusual and not given to peace, but rather, a breakthrough or freedom in the best of circumstances. Our strategy is to strangle Iran financially since their capability to retaliate may be far greater than we anticipated. Striking infrastructure like bridges, power plants, and water facilities may embolden the population to rise up but is unlikely to cause an organized and widespread movement capable of decapitating the regime. We are left with a war of attrition.

The Uranus weekly cycle of the 24th has correlated with unexpected resistance on the part of the Iranians and an unusual, even controversial, agreement with Saudi Arabia on the 21st for the U.S. to assist them in developing uranium enrichment facilities for the production of nuclear energy. Israel and other nations are likely to resist this pact. Prior to the 24th an anticipated attack on the last underground nuclear site will take place. Trump has transiting Mars in opposition his Moon on the 29th and conjunct his Sun on the 31st. He will show fine leadership at this time and those opposing him will be weak and vacillating.

The solar eclipse of Aug. 12 falls mildly on Trump’s Mars but Jupiter is transitioning his Pluto (peak 14th Aug.) signally intense bombardments and possible land engagement (taking Karge Island for example).

A clearing in the clouded war with Iran took place near May 13, 2026 resulting in overcast peace treaty efforts.  Another bid for the end of the war is nearing with far greater chances of success.

A Jupiter (monthly) transit to Saturn in Trump’s chart peaked May 30 dooming the negotiations.  The Iranians love to stall.  And Trump used this potentially problematic cycle to legally secure (Saturn) himself, family, and companies from past and future IRS investigations in an unusual lawsuit settlement against the IRS for publically releasing his tax returns.  His reward for suing the Federal Government: $1.776 billion in addition to the tax protections.  This huge amount is allegedly to be used to reward individuals legally persecuted by the Biden administration.  Saturn persecution equals Venus friends/supporters and money.  Trump has a Saturn/Venus conjunction in his horoscope.  Transits first contact Saturn in his life, then Venus.  This means protecting what is valued.

Troubles and disappoints tend to occur under Saturn for Trump and the U.S.  When Venus is next transited, good things tend to happen.  Jupiter crosses his Venus June 9 indicating peace, favorable news, and beneficial deals.  The kicker in all this is Mars (the weekly cycle in my astro jargon).  Mars crosses Trump’s Midheaven 6/20 and squares his Mars four days later.  This signifies an aggressive drive to achieve a peaceful end to the war.  More violence to bring this about is not out of the question.  Two possibilities develop: an agreement is reached near the 9^th to open the strait and end the war or renewed warfare is likely near the 20^th that would be awful.  Iran would strike oil facilities in the region sending prices soaring.  Hostilities could last well into July and spiral out of control.

The June 9^th Venus period offers the best hope for an end to this regrettable conflict.  The nuclear material is buried.  Most of Iran’s nuclear program is destroyed.  If Iran starts up its nuclear program, destroy it by air once again.  End the war.  End it under Venus.
