Amendment 14 and the China Crisis

AMENDMENT 14 AND A CHINA CRISIS

The Supreme Court heard a case February 7, 2024 regarding the 14th Amendment to disallow ex-president Trump from being on the 2024 Colorado ballot.  A number of additional states wish to exclude Trump as well based on his role in encouraging and refusing to intervene in the January 6 Capitol storming by supporters bent on preventing the certification of Joe Biden as president.  Transiting Saturn is square Uranus in the U.S. horoscope, a sign of unusual developments and surprise outcomes.  This monthly cycle peaks 2/21 and dominates the month of February.  Two weekly transits of Mars are also influencing the court: an opposition to Mercury on the 5th, and more importantly, a conjunction to Pluto on the 9th.  This configuration basically says arguments (Mercury) are torn down and replaced (Pluto).  The 14th Amendment is not in question but does it apply in this case?

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment states in part:

“No person shall be a senator or representative in Congress, or elector of President or Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any Sate, who having previously taken an oath as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, …shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.  But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each house, remove such disability.”

Some claim that Trump has not been charged or found guilty of insurrection so the 14th Amendment clause does not relate to him.  On the other hand, the Congressional Committee that investigated the January 6 incident found Trump guilty of attempting to overturn the election.

Whatever you believe this will be a mute issue in my judgement based on the U.S. transits.  The Supreme Court is likely to “tear down” (Pluto) the case against using the 14th to prevent Trump from running.

CHINA 2024

Communist China has come a long way since its inception a mere 74-years ago.  China’s horoscope is powerful, successful, and belligerently aggressive.  It will go to war if necessary but prefers to gain and grow through manufacturing, trade, investments, subterfuge, and espionage.  In the event of war, they have plans to cripple America through massive cyber-attack on infrastructure and financial centers.  This could be done to screen an attack on Taiwan.

Two slow moving transits are moving over key angles in China’s horoscope in 2024 foreboding a critical time in its history.  China faces dire economic straights with years of high investment held by banks.  Watch for important developments in March as Pluto crosses China’s Ascendant.  This comes with a Saturn transit to Saturn.  A crisis is held in check with great difficulty.  Stability breaks down.  A long awaited plan is boldly launched.  The month of May brings a blow to its productivity and net assets as Uranus transits the Lower Culmination.  Pluto, retrograde, joints the Ascendant a second time in June indicating a taste for war or more aggressive action but holding back and weighing options unless conditions are right for taking what it wants.

Saner policies are likely near the eclipse of October 3 when Xi Jing Ping makes important decisions to avert and conceal national shortcomings.  More alarming are the months from December 2024 through March 2025.  Uranus disrupts the country’s productivity in December.  Pluto crosses the Ascendant on January 17 after Mars goes over the Descendant of foreign nations January 2.  These are aggressive war signs.  Riots and great emotional upheaval can’t be ruled out February and early March as Uranus goes over the Lower Culmination a final time joined by Pluto over the Moon two days later (March 7).  These configurations can manifest in a number of ways but one thing is for sure – 2024 into 2025 is a critical time for China.  An attack of some kind on Taiwan is extremely likely with ramifications reverberating throughout the world.
